A lot of people don’t realize that Cycling Evia actually means to cycle on an island that is 1-hour driving time from Athens (aka, no ferry needed).
It is also the second-largest island after Crete and has a lot of activities to offer.
Evia has been inhabited since prehistoric times with loads of historic remains to prove it.
It’s most important settlement early became today’s Chalkida port city, since it was the closest to the mainland and had natural resources of copper, making the city a trading center of great importance.
The island’s name stands for “rich in cattle”.

Cycling Evia: “Gaidaros” Route (25km – 4 hours)
Depart from the beach of Alykes, cycle all along the coast to the village of Loukisia and head back riding at the foot of mount Xtypas.
Cycling Evia: “Fylla” Route (30 km – 4 hours)
Starting at LKP (Lefkanti Kitepark) we head on to the historic village of Fylla, visit medieval towers, bridges and castles. We will enjoy some sweet singletrack and ancient scenery.
Cycling Evia: Coast to Coast (20 km – 3,5 hours)
Departing from Gaidaros we cycle all along Chalkis sublime seaside houses and coved beaches. You will have the opportunity to have a swim at the sea(So have your sea stuff with you). Arrive at the bridge of Chalkida, have a taste of local & fresh seafood and some coffee with the view of the seafront.
Cycling Evia: “Politika” (25 km – 4 hours)
Starting at the fishing village of Politika, you will have the great opportunity to enjoy the stunning view of the Evian gulf from above. In the end, we will have a nice swim at the beach of Politika.
Cycling Evia: Winerouts (27km – 4 hours)
Cycle through the ancient wine routs of Mytika. We will have the option of tasting unique Greek wine from local producers.
