In Homer’s Iliad, a group from Kos fought for the Greeks in the Trojan War. In Roman mythology, Hercules visited. The physician Hippocrates lived here. Ancient structures still stand witness to history in the sun. If you are ready for an epic adventure of your own, Big Blue Surf Center on Psalidi beach at Kos is the place for access to premier surf training and equipment.
Kos in the Southern Aegean Dodecanese Islands of Greece is surrounded by 112 kilometers of clean, beautiful beaches and the deep blue Aegean Sea. Your group can get to Kos by ferry, charter boat at the marina, or plane at Kos International Airport (KGS).
The waves of Psalidi beach 3 kilometers outside of Kos are easily accessible. There is free hotel shuttle twice daily. For more independence, hop a bus, or rent a bike, scooter, ATV, car, or taxi to see the ancient structures and whitewashed buildings on the way to the beach.
Sections of Kos turn into a party town at night so if you plan to celebrate your aquatic victories in the taverns and nightclubs, you have options. We want you to enjoy a lifetime of memories with your time at Big Blue Surf Center in Greece near to your heart!

Windsurfing in Greece
Windsurfing is a blend of the laid-back surfing culture with some strategic elements of sailing.
Fun for beginners and increasingly exhilarating as you learn, windsurfers can perform brilliantly in environments inaccessible to other individual water sports. Prior to tow-in surfing, windsurfers were the first to ride the world’s largest waves. In waves too small to be remarkable for traditional surfers, sails can harness the power of the wind to defy gravity. While skimming across the water under sail power is a thrill, graduate to wave jumping, areal loops, spinning maneuvers, and creative freestyle tricks never contemplated by a sailboat.
Kitesurfing in the Agean Sea
The white lighthouse of Kipriotis village in Psalidi is the background to our kitesurfing adventures. Uniquely positioned for maximum wind, you can learn to kitesurf on the beach for faster success in the water.
With your feet in loops on the board and a body harness and lines to manage the kite, the rush of speed, controlled flying, jumps, board grabs and other kiteboarding stunts are within your reach, with professional training from Big Blue Surf Center.
