Sea Kayaking Skopelos Greece

No previous experience is necessary to join us exploring the beautiful coastline of Skopelos by sea kayaking. All our trips are led by BCU (British Canoe Union) qualified guides and coaches who will ensure you have a fabulous time! Moreover, our equipment comes from some of the biggest and best names in the sea kayaking world. We offer a wide range of sea kayaking activities from sunset tours, day trips, kayaking holidays, expeditions and coaching.

During a sea kayaking trip, we will discover different locations around Skopelos, sea caves, go snorkelling, have a go at cliff jumping before enjoying home prepared food on secret beaches. Τhere’s always the chance of spotting Dolphins and Tuna or for a real treat at sunset we may be lucky enough to see a Mediterranean monk seal. Τhere are only about 600 of these shy but beautiful creatures left on our planet with the largest population living around the islands of Skopelos and Alonissos.

For sunset tour, we meet 3 hours before sunset at Elios, and head off to a deserted beach for some swimming and a light snack. Then it’s time to head back watching the sun sink slowly into the horizon. There is no better way to end a day on Skopelos than watching the sunset from the peace and tranquility of a sea kayak.

We organize a series of different expeditions exploring the Northern Sporades chain of islands and the largest Marine Conservation area in Europe! Our expeditions range from a few days circumnavigating Skopelos to 11 day self sufficient tours exploring many of the islands and encountering a wide range of weather and sea conditions. The starting point for our Aegean expedition is the small fishing port of Loutraki on the north west coast of Skopelos. We visit the islands of Alonissos, Peristera and Kyra Panagia. Days will be spent exploring the coast line of these islands, and hopefully seeing plenty of sea life. Nights are spent in peaceful and deserted locations, expected to cover distances of up to 35km per day.

Our coaching courses are aimed at both adults and children and range from the BCU’s Paddlepower program for under 16’s to the BCU star awards for over 16’s. Our courses are delivered by fully qualified BCU coaches.

Skopelos is the largest of the Northern Sporades chain of islands which are located off the East coast of Greece, measuring about 30km by 5 km it’s coastline is littered with sea caves, tunnels and deserted beaches. Τhe interior of the island is covered with dense pine forests and olive groves, perfect for walking and mountain biking.
We are based in the small hillside village of Glossa to the north of the island which boasts some of the best sunsets in the Aegean! This traditional village offers some of the best restaurants and tavernas on Skopelos while maintaining a relaxed laid back feel.
