Top 10 Mykonos Beaches
We have sampled ten of the best and ‘must visit’ famous and popular beaches on the island of Mykonos which you have no choice but to pay a visit.
If you intend to visit the island with your whole family, then this is the beach to consider spending some of your time. It is not attached to the mainland Mykonos.
As such, it is super quiet and very breathable indeed. Moreover, the beach contains a host of family-friendly features that make it quite suited for whole families.
That is not to mention the numerous cafes, restaurants, sun loungers, and other amazing amenities that sprawl in and around it. The area is excellent for diving, skiing, windsurfing, and sightseeing.
In case you are that kind of a person who cherishes privacy and abhors congestions and crowds, this is the beach to look up. Just like the Ornos, it is also secluded from the mainstream island and is as such hardly accessible by many.

Agios Ioannis Beach
Located approximately 5 km south of the Mykonos town, the Agios Ioannis Beach is a beautiful, quiet, yet narrow beach.

The northern portion is ordinarily more crowded and busier than the southern one. It is nonetheless the more organized of the two.
You will find several tavernas, music, water sports, and other amenities. Given the protective nature of Paraga Beach, it is excellent for those who like getting nude outside.
Its sea breeze is too high to be forfeited.
Do you have an elderly person in mind? That is the beach to take him to. It is farther away from the mainstream Mykonos Island and is sparsely populated.
Its lack of heavy traffic and lower population makes it all the more suited for the elderly or those who cannot keep pace with the congested and fast-paced lifestyles.
The adjacent water is also cold enough to cool the elderly in the scorching summer months. You have no excuse at all should you not take your old grandmother out next time.
To significantly relax and enjoy your time on the island, you want one that is comprehensive and adequately equipped.
